I got here to Tennessee after a short itinerary change in Ingram, Texas. Turns out KJ had
just moved in to her new apartment with Sgt. and seeing as I've been going non-stop since Germany we decided to all just hang out and have a relaxing time!
The first day I got here KJ had an errand to run. Apparently the errand no one likes... the DMV.
This is me with KJ's very old yet dearly loved Texas drivers license
After three, yes
three, trips back and forth to the DMV we finally got her new Tennessee license! (and a ride in Sgt.'s car!)
I swear I was wearing a seat belt mom!
Later that evening I got to participate in what seems to be a nightly thing around here. I learned how to play chess! I was on KJ's team because... well, she needs the help. In the end, we didn't win one single game, but it was still a lot of fun. Sgt. and KJ have a really good time playing so maybe I can find a kite partner one of these days to try my new skills on!
Go white team!
The next day we slept in a little and then made chicken salad for dinner later that night. Yummm!

After helping unpack some, I asked KJ if we could go to Starbucks, seeing as I've enjoyed the others so much! She said I could find Starbucks anywhere, but what I had really been missing out on was some sweet tea done right! So, we hopped in the car and headed on over to Mrs. Winners Chicken and Biscuits. I have just one thing to say, in my heaven, there WILL be sweet tea!
Southern good is dang right!
I had a great time seeing some of the local spots of KJ's new town, and we were both glad for the relaxing time. I can't wait to see what kind of exciting things await me in California! Hope the weather is just as sunny and nice as Tennessee!
See ya later Volunteer State!
This is me in front of the "welcome home" sign Sgt. made KJ before they got back from Texas. Too sweet, right?!
